Reverse Osmosis - An Overstated System of Water Filtration For Your Home

For many years, manufacturers have overstated the value of reverse osmosis systems for homes. Some municipal facilities which use large treatment systems use reverse osmosis in their primary and secondary stages, but is a far cry from being clean for drinking. They remove some but not all the toxins in the water supply.

The process starts by forcing water through a porous membrane with pressure. The substances which are blocked depends on the type of membrane used. There are countless cases where bottled water is considered pure hype because of the marketing and advertising efforts made by bottling companies to project their products as safe.
